This year I was not overly prepared for Costume college. I managed to power through jet lag from our family vacation, pack, and hop right back on a plane, this time to LA. This year my alpaca Rainbow sherbet accompanied me on the trip.
I always enjoy having along a hand sewing project so this lovely nursing corset was flossed over the span of my costume college trip.

I also have the coordinating embroidered, unlined cream skirt to coordinate. It is done up with front and back waist bands so it can fit many different waist sizes easily.

I finished my trio of black and tan pieces, all samples testing out ideas. The neck corset can pair with any of the three pieces.
I cut this out almost 2 years ago as a sample to test out a La Mode Illustree pattern.

This corset is really a stand-in temporary corset. It was a mock up that was finished because we haven’t found the right final fashion fabric but a corset was needed to be used for the run of Dickens Christmas fair. So while I source the “right” fabric this two layer black coutil corset sewn and bound in red will do a good job as an undergarment for her Victorian gown.
