This corset started as a tester for a secret project. Still secret so I won’t share more now but I took it with me to the 2015 Oxford Conference of corsetry this past summer. Photographed by Chris Murray and modeled by Ella Rose.
I have been away from this blog too long. I have many updates and with the current American Duchess Giveaway I decided to start with updating you on my new accessories. I’d love to feature Dames a la Mode jewelry along with images of Dickens Fair this past weekend. Each year we have a special Royals day where the Royal family stays out longer to visit. I get to change into my ballgown bodice which is rare for Dickens Fair. Therefore I wanted a bit of new bling (as if I don’t already wear enough of it), but more bling is always welcome for the Royal family.
Photos are all courtesy of my husband and ©2015 Tavan Photography. I am so lucky to have these to share. I hope you enjoy them:
I will be taking inventory, measuring, and photographing samples in the shop this week and listing them for sale first through my email list. You can Sign up HEREto get first peeks at what is happening in my workshop and on sale pieces.
I also have the coordinating embroidered, unlined cream skirt to coordinate. It is done up with front and back waist bands so it can fit many different waist sizes easily.
For skirt only- $200 US:
My flight was delayed by 3 hours. I quickly got placed onto an alternate connection (and cut out one layover so it was a fantastic change as I also got to fly out on a brand new Virgin Atlantic plane). The flight crew did a bingo game with us in the waiting room while I stitched the final details on this lovely red corset. I won a $50 Delta flight voucher which was a lovely surprise.
The second look Threnody in Velvet did up for me was my Queen for my Martin Casino theme. Not many people have noticed but all the cards in that campaign have black diamonds instead of red on the cards… Sneaky sneaky…
