Quince in Velvet

Another from the same Blossoms in velvet idea as the pale wisteria version but adapted to suit this model. I am more than pleased with the results :) She really enjoys bobbinet corsets and I have been experimenting with it over the past year. I really love the styling and am over the moon.

Solstiss Lace

Here is a shot we did with the Solstiss lace yardage I picked out from the 2014 Oxford Conference of Corsetry at a huge discount. I actually wanted this in the blue/brown colorway to use to make a corset influenced by the brick work but plan to use the white against a black or navy blue velvet instead.

Atlantis- 18th century style

I found it fun to restyle an outfit quickly, for use at a party I didn’t anticipate attending. While I was totally out of place, it felt fun and worked just fine to enjoy the evening amongst the mermaids and sirens.

I purchased little blue glass fish to add to my headdress whose flowers reminded me of coral and i added additional pearls and wore my fan cover as a stomacher.

Dames a la Mode for the win!

Hello.

I have been away from this blog too long. I have many updates and with the current American Duchess Giveaway I decided to start with updating you on my new accessories. I’d love to feature Dames a la Mode jewelry along with images of Dickens Fair this past weekend. Each year we have a special Royals day where the Royal family stays out longer to visit. I get to change into my ballgown bodice which is rare for Dickens Fair. Therefore I wanted a bit of new bling (as if I don’t already wear enough of it), but more bling is always welcome for the Royal family.

Photos are all courtesy of my husband and ©2015 Tavan Photography. I am so lucky to have these to share. I hope you enjoy them:

Traveling to London

DSC_5998

My flight was delayed by 3 hours. I quickly got placed onto an alternate connection (and cut out one layover so it was a fantastic change as I also got to fly out on a brand new Virgin Atlantic plane). The flight crew did a bingo game with us in the waiting room while I stitched the final details on this lovely red corset. I won a $50 Delta flight voucher which was a lovely surprise.
