Blue & Black underbust: pretty stripy bias binding :)

This corset has been sitting waiting on my mannequin and I felt inspired to finish something so I went ahead and applied binding. Stripe binding no less. I think it is a fun, playful element that ties in with the black piping.

I had a touch left of the flower fabric I made my last corset from and decided to make up an under-bust corset. The rest of the fabric will only be enough to accent another corset and I’m going to have to find a complimentary fabric to bind it.

Edwardian inspired wedding gown: lace yoke

Here are some images of the piecework done on the yoke of the Edwardian inspired wedding gown recently featured on my website.

The yoke was carefully pieced together and invisibly whipped together from the back to create a continuous lace piece that was correctly shaped. Later the the scalloped edging was pieced on the edge of the entire yoke.

Once I get photos of the bride wearing the gown at her wedding I will upload them. The sleeves just don’t look right without arms in them! Plus the delicate trim and beading on the cuffs can’t be seen well in these photos.
