This is lovely. Well done you. I do like the fit and the colour is gorgeous.
The shoulder padded wings/rolls I need to do JUST like that for the OVER gown for my masquerade gown – but in chocolate brown silk/wool satin with gold braid on it. But I am giving myself a weekend off from sewing!
Lovely to meet you at Costume Con. Hope to meet again some day.
Can’t wait to see your over gown once you start back sewing again *wink* Sending a “hello birdie” to Bilbo.
Hopefully Tiff will eventually decide to add sleeves to this outfit (I have just enough of this color green linen knowing the dye batches have variations). She said it was extremely comfortable in 90 degrees fahrenheit which was the main goal!
Hi, I'm Laurie Tavan. I run my own custom sewing business making one-of-a-kind designs for weddings, dress-up, and fun. Stick around for a behind-the-scenes look into my workroom & travels.
Watch my projects take form. I'll be showing you what goes into my garments: inside and out and often from start to finish. Check out my portfolio to see the results.
