Monday, January 11th, 2010

Two years after the fact :) Thank you Kaitlyn for coming down to my place and doing a shoot with my husband. We went through and picked our favorite shots and will be adding them to the portfolio but until there here is a teaster shot:

I still beam with happiness when I see this gown at Dickens fair.

Striped Victorian: medici belt up-close

Saturday, October 4th, 2008

I found these photos I never shared of the Medici belt that was part of the Striped Victorian gown ensemble.

Striped Victorian gown: inprogress

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

I’m posting up a view of this gown in progress for all of you asking about my rush commission. Kaitlyn comes over later this week to finish the medici belt. I adore this fabric and it is hard to watch it not become the bustle dress of my dreams but very rewarding to watch it come together precisely into a gown perfect for my clients character.

Striped Victorian gown: dickens christmas fair

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

Life has been busy. Another corset out the door, a chemise inprogress, & a skirt with medici belt. A ready made zouave jacket (not made by me) will be getting some upgraded trimmings and alterations on fit if time allows.

Wedding stuff is sitting waiting for my attention.

I’ll be at the Dickens Christmas Fair for all but one weekend this holiday season. Check it out. $3 off coupons will be easily picked up at your local Longs drugs store.

Here is a preview of the skirt fabric and the original jacket:
